After wanting to watch it for the longest time, and seeing it come up in someones blog, I finally watched Donny Darko. And I seriously think that it might just possibly the best movie I have ever seen. It totally passed Mean Creek and Crash, even A Clockwork Orange. This is deff one of those movies that you have to watch 2 or 3 times. Not because its so good, ( well maybe that too ), but because it's one of those movies that makes you think way to much the first time around, so inorder to fully understand it, you've got to watch it agian. Like theres this one part where Donnie and his mom are sitting on his bed, and she's telling him about how shes going to Las Angeles for the dance team and shes tells him that if anything comes up to call Dr. Thurman, his therapist, and thers a little pause, and he says," So hows it feel to have a wacko for a son?" and his mom looks at him and says,"It feels wonderful." The first time I watched this movie and I saw this part I cried a lot, because i've always wondered about what my mom thought of me, and all the stuff thats wrong with me. And every time that I think about it, I always picture something like this. The whole movie is summed up into this one thing that controls him. At the end, he's given a choice, to live, and let everything he's forseen to become actual reality, or he can die, and save someone he loves and prevent everything, and at the end, he smiles, and lets it happen because he knows what would happen if he didn't. I'm not telling you what he decides in the end, I guess you'll just have to find out for yourself.

Donnie Darko may be the best movie of all time. Its one of my all time favorites. My psychotic ex boyfriend used to tell me that I look like Donnie, I eventually ended up feeling like him instead. I really like how it all pans out and how the whole time people are so afraid of Frank, but in reality he;s saving Donnie and helping him make the right choices.
Ive seen that movies about 20 times now and every time I watch it I still find something new.
Cellardoor.
